Social Media nowadays makes it easier for people to discover. Places, inventions, crafts, talents and even personalities. Definitely one of the advantages when being online. Unlike before when we hardly see these, needing them to be discovered personally. But today, just by opening social media apps on our mobile phones or tablets and browsing on the internet, we can easily find them. That is the power of the internet.
Being one of those that are into social media, I mainly use Facebook and Instagram, it amuse me when I discover unique ideas and interesting topics. Mostly when it comes to art, I always get excited. And being able to join online groups that exhibit art works such as portraits, paintings, etc, it is a pleasure to see the works of those who are yet to be discovered. One of them is Ren and her unique Watercolor illustrations.
From random members I was with within a Facebook group where some post realistic portraits, beautiful calligraphy works, dreamy paintings and such, Ren‘s artworks left a lasting impression to me.
Her style is spot on! Such technique is quite similar to those that can be seen on children illustration books, greeting or wedding cards, but her’s is distinct. She does a great job with keeping her own unique style, which can be obviously seen on each of her works.
Above is the digital version of Ren’s watercolor illustration. Her friend did this one since she mainly uses watercolor as her medium.
Ren is a 17-year old gal from Albay, Philippines. Her family, friends and the one above who gave her an awesome talent kept her inspired towards reaching her dream in life. Her dream is to become a children’s book illustrator or an animator and to exhibit his talent to people.
She’s only equipped with Unipin 0.1, Waterbrush and Koi Watercolor but her works exude a great impact visually.
If you wish to see more of her watercolor illustrations, check her official Facebook page Hocher. Make sure to follow her page so as not to miss a single update from her.
Confession. I am a fan of her works. Her craft is just unique and pleasing to the eye. Really looking forward to see her watercolor illustration on popular children’s book and magazine publishing companies, card manufacturers and printing agencies.
